F.E.A.R. 3 ini merupakan game pertama yang dikembangkan oleh Day1 Studios, yang sebelumnya sudah berkontribusi terhadap franchise tersebut dalam membawa F.E.A.R. 1 ke Xbox 360 dan PlayStation 3. Fitur baru yang akan diberikan kepada game tersebut adalah sebuah mode cooperative baru dan tentunya mode single-player yang akan melanjutkan kisah menyeramkan dalam jalan cerita yang dikembangkan oleh Monolith. Game-game F.E.AR. yang sudah pernah ada sebelumnya meliputi FEAR 1 dan 2, ditambah lagi dengan F.E.A.R. Extraction Point dan F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate yang dikembangkan oleh TimeGate Studios saat Sierra Entertainment dan Activision Blizzard yang memegang hak cipta untuk F.E.A.R. itu.(Google)
